Overview
Universal Transitional Kindergarten is a program that builds a bridge between early learning years and traditional kindergarten. UTK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program and provides children an opportunity to learn important academic and social skills in a hands-on manner that supports their development. The program is based on the California Preschool Foundations with focused instruction in literacy and numeracy along with a strong emphasis on self-regulation and social engagement.
Students eligible for UTK in 2025-2026 must have a birthdate between September 2, 2020 - September 1, 2021 (inclusive).
