Diversity Equity Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)

DEIB LogoThe Lanai DEIB team was established to promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the Lanai community. Our goal is to foster an inclusive school community by building awareness, encouraging respect for differences and give students, teachers, and families the resources to practice intentional allyship - our theme for the 2023-2024 school year.  The DEIB Team consists of volunteers, teachers and staff partnering to accomplish this goal through:
 
  • Academic Integration - provide academic resources for teachers and staff that enable equitable and inclusive learning
  • Cultural Intelligence - deepen knowledge and build respect for the many layers of diversity in our Lanai community
  • Multicultural Teams - honor and celebrate through cultural events and activities

One of the key areas that DEIB supports is Multicultural Awareness and includes many events and activities throughout the school year.
