What if my child needs special accommodations?
Children in LA County with developmental disabilities are eligible for services under CA law. If you have concerns about your child's development or behavior, contact your pediatrician and the North Los Angeles County Regional Center for an assessment before enrolling in LAUSD. Assessments can begin as early as three years old. Waiting until after enrollment delays the process, as teachers must track progress for at least six months before the school can conduct an assessment. If your student already has an IEP or 504 Plan, please get in touch with our APEIS Aleen Andonian at [email protected].
